OUR PRAYER LIFE
We achieve unity in our life only in and through Jesus Christ. We seek His presence in the hearts of the people and in the events of our daily life. Jesus is the model of our prayer life. The foundation of our prayer is our faith in Jesus. Every member will imbibe a spirit of prayer in his personal life suiting to his nature and interest.
The Eucharist is the source and summit of our community life, the center of our vocation. Mass offered daily will be the focus. We, the SDMs are energized by the Holy Eucharist.
Eucharistic sacrifice is a special way to unite us with Jesus, with one another and with the people of God. We participate in the Mass daily as a community. In gratitude for this Eucharistic gift, we seek the Lord often in His sacramental presence.
Blessed Sacrament reminds us our Lord’s unconditional love and His presence. We devote time for adoration. Frequent visit to the Blessed Sacrament is encouraged among our members.
WORD OF GOD
In the Word of God, we, the SDMs discover Christ and also the truth in other faiths. The members are directed and guided by the Word of God. We find strenght in the Word of God for our apostolate and day by day, the Word of God nourishes us.
To be in union with God and fellow men, the members will participate in the Sacrament of Reconciliation if possible regularly. Through the Examination of Conscience daily, we evaluate the faithfulness and failures of our response to the Lord.
We set aside special times each month and each year for the monthly and annual spiritual exercises. For deeper personal and community prayer, for reflection and renewal, a day of recollection every month and an annual retreat for a week time are facilitated.
With Mother Mary, we enter into closer union with God and with one another in our communities. The society is kept under her maternal care. Every member of the society is called to live, move and have one’s being in her.
DEVOTION TO ST. EUGENE DE MAZENOD
St. Eugene De Mazenod is the heavenly patron of our society. We imbibe the spirit of St. Eugene De Mazenod.
DEVOTION TO ST. JOSEPH, OUR GUARDIAN
St. Joseph is the guardian of our Society. He will ever receive a place of honour and devotions in our communities. The feast of St. Joseph will be celebrated devotedly
